Hayley Noakes, Artist
Hayley Noakes_edited.jpg

'My name is Hayley and I live near Buckingham with my husband, our son, and two cats.  Surrounded by the picturesque countryside of Buckinghamshire, I find inspiration in the natural beauty around me, especially in our garden where we are visited by many gorgeous birds and other wildlife. My time living in Italy and visits to stunning Canada to see family have also shaped my creative journey.  I am inspired by the details and textures of simple things like a shell or pebble, growing moss, or a bird's feathers. I see a lot of beauty in the faded and aged, which is why I often bring in ephemera into my art.  As a collage artist, I explore various mediums like pastels, pencils, and ink to create my pieces.  I try to create texture and detail while painting my own papers for my collages.  My work reflects my love for wild spaces and wildlife, and conservation is very important to me.  I love the changing seasons in the UK, and I try to create a sense of these seasons in some of my work. My favourite season being the winter countryside; I love the structure of the trees, the winter birds, and the quiet wilderness.  I showcase my art at a local gallery as well as online, offering originals and prints.'
